DIVERSITY IS HIGH GROUND FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, EXPANSION AND PROFITABILITY - DR. PHILLIP C. OFUME
Here's what James Rodgers said, "Contrary to popular belief, diversity is not important or useful to a business unless it is managed to solve a business problem."
Afore referenced, it may be wispered and mute in author's entreaty that, DIVERSITY is not good for business but must be publicly reversed with loud tune which says it's incorrect and below sizeable argument in global multilinear definition of diversity in business. No! This just one piece of several hundreds of the definition of diversity such as academic, scientific, political, social, law, civil, religion, ethnological/cultura strandl, all course syllabus in education and training, business, dictionary, linguistic, ethical, etc. In responding to my colleague, business is one of the fora DIVERSITY is strongly required if the actors of such business desire enlarged profits because in business administration; management; marketplace; labor force; goods and services; marketing of concept, theory, finished products; professional and other strategic advice and advising for NGOs, GOs and private sectors; homeland and other securities; intellectual property; etc DIVERSITY is major secret to expand your customers and sales/selling borders because within border alone earns low key growth/profit and less profiting market. Good business men/women/children go for MARKET WITHOUT BORDERS.
In 1984 gradually, and without initial and sustaining future capital or less than S0.25 or about N5.00 (Nigeria), I started withdrawing from my original work/career focus (lecturer/Researcher - University of Ibadan/Institute of African Studies) into public and private services business (G.M. BOND & PHONEX ENTERPRISES - Loan, investment and Recovery for private and public sectors). To implement this business action, I researched, investigated and merged a triangular theory which are (1) DIversity; (2) John Maynard Keynes economic theory; and (3) socio-economic genetics via Adam Smith and labor science theory. Between and about 1985 through 1996 the profit without operating capital was over $25million excluding mortgaged real properties. $11million, conspired and forcible properties and goods seizure by Rt. Hon. Prime Ministers of Canada, Jean Jacques Chretien and Paul Martin on December 17, 2003 are part of the profits from this business (see Phillip Ofume v. CIBC - The Supreme Court of Canada and Ofume et al v. Government of Canada at the United Nations). In my interim conclusion, I may say that DIVERSITY and COMPETITIVENESS are core brain in business success, but we must know that diversity is the foundation and umbrella of competitiveness and business success. With diversity as business theory business expands and money making is easy and upbeat.
Now here comes common ground between these arguments, James Rodgers said, "Contrary to popular belief, diversity is not important or useful to a business unless it is managed to solve a business problem." and in part, I believe that DIVERSITY is "...useful to a business unless it is managed to solve a business problem."
